The Forest of Avon Trust is the Bristol-based charity for local trees and woodlands. They strongly believe that trees make a huge contribution to our quality of life now and in the future. They run a range of successful projects to deliver the benefits of trees and woodlands to people in Bristol and 30 miles around.
Forest of Avon Trust Services:

Deliver accredited Forest School training for school staff, care workers and business to inspire and involve the next generation in green spaces

Run wellbeing activities tailored to the needs of adults with learning disabilities, people with mental health needs, people living with dementia and young people with special needs.

Run tailored woodland activity days in local woodlands for businesses wishing to develop staff. (Previous clients include Rolls Royce, John Lewis Partnership among others)

Provide training for communities and individuals to help them plant and care for trees and manage woodlands

Give advice on grants for woodland management, produce Forestry Commission approved management plans (850ha to date) and provide advice on linking timber to local markets

Provide Chartered Town Planning and Landscape Architect Services for those wishing to plant, or manage, trees and woodlands linked to developments in the Forest of Avon (West of England) area; and

Give advice on woodland creation grants and campaign for/ negotiate strategic woodland creation, in support of Forest of Avon Community Forest principles.
