The Forest of Avon brings trees and people together to create healthy, inspiring and resilient places for communities and nature to thrive. We are one of 15 Community Forests in England, working across Bristol, Bath and Northeast Somerset, South
Gloucestershire and North Somerset.  We plant trees, enhance wildlife habitats and connect people with their local natural environment.  We work with local authorities, community groups, volunteers, schools, businesses, farmers and landowners to expand and care for trees and woodlands across the region. Together, we are connecting people to nature through
community-led projects, whilst also reducing flood risk, improving air and water quality and creating vital habitats for wildlife. 

 

Ways to get involved:

• Plant trees on your land. If you’re a farmer or landowner in the West of England, we can fund tree planting on your land. We cover up to 100% of the cost of new trees and support projects from planning to planting. Find out more about how our grant can help you plant trees.

 

• Join a tree planting volunteer day. Throughout the year, we run tree care and planting days. These are open to anyone and you don’t need any experience to come along. Take a look at our events calendar to find a day near you.
   

• Join a wellbeing group. We run woodland-based wellbeing groups for people living with dementia and their carers, individuals with complex and enduring mental health needs, and people recovering from a cardiac event. If you’d like to know more, contact our team.
