Frame: Steam Bent Ash

Seat: Hand Carved Elm (also available in Beech or Ash)

Unique and elegant dining chair by Tom Redfern. The 3-legged design is stable on all surfaces while the steam bent ash frame is exceptionally storng. The back is lightly sprung for added comfort and the seat is carved to suit most rear ends.

Tom says, "More time has gone into designing this apparently simple chair than any other piece I have made. The aim was to use a minimal number of components to create a comfortable, strong and elegant chair. By steam bending the components the stresses in the chair are taken on the bends rather than the joints which could over time become loose."

Finished with oil and bees wax
