Rippled Ash from Bristol Zoo

Rippled Ash is very rare - the rippling is a defect and you will never find out if the ash is rippled until you cut it down and take a look. The Ash for this beautiful platter came from a tree felled at Bristol Zoo for safety reasons.

The outer and under isdes of the platter have been finished by hand with a chisel and mallet while the inner surface was cut out using an Arbortek mini-chainsaw and sanded smooth.
