This chunky bench was originally designed along anthropomorphic ergonomic principles for and with service users at a residential community home in Weston-Super-Mare.

The design was so succesful that Sue has since re-created it and shown it most recently at her Once A Tree show at Westonbirt Arboretum.

Despite it's massive (18 stone!) stable structure, the design fully merits the use of the word Restful in its title. There are no sharp edges within the assymetric design and the contoured wave back is designed very much with comfort in mind.

The bench is supplied installed. The bolts are plugged for safety and security and the piece is finished with a citrus-based eco wood oil and an anti-fungal treatment.
