Made from contrasting reclaimed walnut and maple.

The design brief was for a piece of furniture with a lot of storage space, hence bookcases were incorporated in the armrests and drawers under the seat.
The armrests are wide and flat – suitable for dinner plates. There are 3 large drawers with relief wave shaping on the fronts which incorporate recesses for drawer pulls (see detail).
Natural wood features are chosen for the fronts of the armrests/bookcases.
