This unique, hand-crafted bed is a solid and superbly built item of furniture that retains all the character of the timbers from which it is made.

The bed posts are locally sourced Larch, picked from the forest floor where they have quite naturally fallen. The outer sap wood has rotted away leaving the solid and durable heart wood as a sturdy foundation for the bed. 

The horizontal rails are FSC-certified pine and secured with 10mm threaded bar to create a very solid bed that is also easy to assemble and take apart.

Head and foot boards in the example shown are made from locally sourced Yew and retain all the features of the tree from which they were sawn . These boards will be unique to each bed made and a variety of local native timbers can be used.
