Simon Shayler of Shayler Eco Designs is an ecologically minded builder and carpenter.

Simon travelled extensively (building outpost log cabins in Canada; spas in Guatemala; a finca [farm cotttage] and swimming pool in Spain) before settling in Portishead where he has set up a business which, among other things, builds log cabins and designs interiors for restaurants.

Simon works to comission, will project manage the whole enterprise and can design the whole interior of the cabin/building. He usually gives "more than asked for", is sympathetic to the surroundings of the building and prefers to work with local timber on the site. Cabins are individually designed for each customer and their needs.
