Touch Wood Enterprises

Established in 2002, the aim of the business is to use locally grown timber to build furniture and outdoor structures. Touch Wood combine sound design and high quality workmanship with local environmental awareness and community involvement.

Touch Wood adopts an ecological approach to construction and incorporate features that enhance the natural environment wherever possible. Examples of this are sedum roofs, shingle roofs, cob walls and round pole construction. These offer both aesthetic and environmental benefits.

Education is central - Touch Wood run a number of practical workshops which are an exciting and informative way to engage children and raise their environmental awareness.

The company also run forest education sessions for adults who want to learn more about sustainable timber and traditional craftsmanship.
