Joe Dart is a carpenter who loves being in the workshop and working with oak. He uses locally sourced oak and often makes good use of offcuts from his large structiures to create smaller objects (e.g. his oak bench).

Joe has worked as a tree surgeon, hardwood floor fitter and an oak timber framer. He has since run his own business for 4 years and has been based at one of the workshops in the Bower Ashton Woodyard for 2.5 years.

Joe works to commission and has made various structures including tree houses, stairways, balconies, porches and gates using his timber framing expertise. He also makes furniture from oak and (occasionally) other timber.
