Alex Arthur has been working in woodland management since 1998, mostly in the Forest of Avon area.  Since summer 2004, charcoal has been produced commercially and to critical acclaim under the Chew Valley Charcoal brand.  Although commercial production has been minimised, the training and education that has been integral to the business continues....
