Woodcott Signs

Woodcarved sign by Woodcott Signs

Woodcott Signs, established in 1979 and run by Rob Eyley, is a very small business making hand-carved house signs to order, but hopefully in this case 'small is beautiful'.

Being in durable oak the signs have that special look - and with exposure over time to the weather they actually get more character without rotting.

Rob likes doing personalised signs to suit the customer's taste and can copy logos, photographs etc or design something to suit - all made out of attractive oak, the best timber there is for house signs.

The work has lettering hand-carved in the traditional manner but the font is not always traditional and often has colour added to
improve clarity.

Many signs have a carved motif, which can be absolutely anything you like (see the website www.woodcott.net).

Often the lettering is based on Roman Trajan but can be any other font style you may require. Most house signs are in the range £80 - £120.

Woodcott Signs also make village signs, farm signs and stable signs, shop signs, school signs and memorial plaques and, being
bespoke and carved by hand, please remember - Anything is possible!
