Woodland Management

Coppicing is a traditional form of woodland management going back thousands of years. It is endlessly sustainable, carbon neutral and good for both wildlife and amenity. It improves biodiversity and provides useful products like hurdles and beanpoles, timber and firewood.

As part of a healthy woodland, felling and thinning are recommended to help promote growth, regeneration and improve the health of existing trees. 

Our members are experts in this area and are well placed to advise and work with your specific maintenance needs.

Our members can run activities to engage the whole community in local woodlands and green spaces.

They can provide training for communities and individuals to help them plant and manage trees and give advice to help improve woodland management and link woodlands to local markets.
