Celebrate the individual!

No two pieces of timber are ever the same - even when they come from the same plank from the same bough from the same tree, there will always be some difference in the grain, the shape, the colouring.

Its the same with the products we make. Even when two pieces are made to the same pattern, there will be a variation in the timber. Give two people a couple of chairs made to the same pattern by hand from locally sourced native timber and they will very quickly decide which one is theirs. Something in the grain on the seat, the curve on an arm, a slight difference in the colouring of the timber in the legs will make them unique to each other.

When they make these products, our members are motivated and inspired by the character of the timber and incorporate that character into the finished piece -celebrating the unique qualities of each individual piece of wood.

Most of these products are only made once - either as a result of the inspiration of the artist/maker or to meet your precise specifications.

Whether its a bespoke or a ready-made piece and whether its a green oak barn or a pair of candlesticks - you can be sure that nobody else will have on quite like it!
